Can anybody help with a good route from Brampton to Markham? I need to wind up at Markham Road and Highway 7. I am good as far as Kleinburg but then my personal knowledge runs out. Any help getting form there to Markham Road would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Todd.

Hey Todd, I do not have a full route but here are some suggestions.
1. from Klienberg continue East on Teston Rd to Pine Valley
2. Go North on Pine Valley to King Vaughan Rd
3. Go East on King Vaughan to Bathurst
4. South on Bathurst to Gamble Rd
5. Continue on 19th (Gamble turns 19th at Yonge)
6. 19th Will take you to Markham Rd, then go South to 7

Some of the roads are busy e.g. Bathurst and you can you google with street view to find some quieter roads.

Good Luck

I want stronger legs, not a lighter bike

Todd - the following route may also give you some ideas on crossing the city on a route that I did on 4th day from Tour for Kids ride 2 years ago.  You would need to go South from this route to your destination & not sure what would be best road with least traffic.  It is similar to information provided by Steve.

Thanks for the suggestion Wayne. I rode it today following a combination of Steve's advice, your route from last Saturday and my own input. Basically took Countryside/Nashville into Kleinburg, north on Kipling to Kirby, followed Kirby until it ends at Dufferin then north to King Vaughan, south on Bathurst to Gamble/19th avenue then over to #48 and south into Markham. All in all a good route - nice roads and vey little traffic. A little construction on 19th at Yonge but nothing too bad. The only thing I would change is #48 - lots of traffic but at least it was only a short stretch.
