Welcome Amoke and Rohit.
Looking forward to meeting you and riding together. Every ride is a beautiful ride! And every ride makes us a better cyclist.
This link will take you to our touring page which has information and links that all new members should read. https://bramptoncyclingclub.com/touring/
If you haven't had experience riding in group formation (a peloton) then it is strongly recommended that you attend a group riding clinic prior to joining a club ride. The first of several riding clinics is posted on CCA events for April 14.
See you folks soon.

Hi everyone, I'm Rohit and a new member of the BCC! I moved back to Ontario from BC recently and looking forward meeting new people and an amazing summer of rides; I took up cycling when I was in Vancouver and managed to complete Whistler Gran Fondo (highly recommend). Hope to become a much better cyclist this year!

Classifieds / 2016 Giant Defy Advanced Pro 1...
Last post by TimCork - March 23, 2024, 04:15:07 PM
Purchased August 2016. Black with blue lettering. Always stored indoors. Very clean. Never dropped. Frame replaced by Giant under warranty with top of the line Advanced SL chassis in 2018 due to bottom bracket problem on original frame. This SL frame is lighter and stiffer than the original frame making it a faster bike, especially on hill climbing.

Gold tune up done by LBS on September 22, 2023 which included new bar tape and brake pads. Diagnostics included: chain (30% wear); wheel, crank and head bearings (good); wheel true check; tires (little wear).

NOTE: this bike has an integrated seat post (see photo) which is setup for riders 5' 11" to 6' 0" (56cm - 58cm). The frame can accomodate shorter riders by removing spacers in the seatpost or having it cut to fit by a reputable bike shop.

Reason for sale: I currently have three road bikes.

Derailleurs: Ultegra di2
Cassette: 11-34, 11 speed
Crankset: Ultegra, 34-50T
Shifters: RS785, 22 speed, Di2 electronic shifting
Brakes: RS785 hydraulic, 140mm disc, Ice Technology rotors
Rims: Giant SLR carbon
Tires: Continental 5000
Giant RideSense Ant+/Bluetooth

Sorry, I am cancelling the New Year ride. I don't think it would be safe.
Take a rain cheque for better road conditions.

We'll see how today goes, but I may join you - I just hate going down to Lisgar 😆.  Regardless if I make it or not, hope you all have a great NYE and I look forward to riding with ya'll in 2024 👍
