Hello New Friends  ;D
My name is Laura, and I'm very much looking forward to a great summer of riding.  I'm a new member and new to group rides, usually head out with a small group of friends on "adventures" (normally getting lost if I'm in charge of the map LOL) I started riding about 4yrs ago and has loved it ever since. Unfortunately can not make the May 6th clinic, but will keep an eye out for the next one.
Hope to meet everyone soon!!

Hi Everyone! I'm Britney, I have a BMX racing background and I now coach that, however I got into casual road riding a couple years ago. I usually go by myself or with one other rider but I wanted to get more involved and go on some group rides! I am in school for Athletic Therapy at Sheridan and have a summer internship but I am hoping to make it out to a group ride at least once a week. Looking forward to meeting you all! :D

External Events / Looking for 55+ riders
Last post by George - May 01, 2023, 05:04:31 PM
I am looking for 55+ and 65+ riders to participate in the District 55+ Games in Brampton. It will be held on May 28th at Mayfield and Creditview. Registration is through the Seniors Centre at Queen & McLaughlin in Brampton. Cost is $18 to enter the event. $15 goes to the Ontario Senior Games Association. I am willing to subsidize anybody who cannot afford it. Event consists of a Pre-diction 5km (tell the time keeper how long you think in will take you and closest time is awarded Gold, 2nd Silver and 3rd Bronze). The other event is a 10km time trial open to 55+ Men and Women & 65+ Men and Women. Complete rules are shown on the OSGA web site or contact me at shepp@rogers.com or 905-872-2138.

If you live outside of Brampton you can register with another District (Mississauga, Halton, North York, Etobicoke etc.) but still ride on the 28th. Eligible riders can compete in the Provincial Games in Brantford in August.

Welcome Derrick.

Starting with Beginners group sounds good. If pace and distance are not enough, you can always move up to another group level. Please be sure to read and understand Group Riding Techniques found on the BCC website.

Hello, I am Derick and just coming back to cycling after 4-5 years away.  Previously rode with an organized social group which I really enjoyed.  I am hoping coming from a social group and being off the bike as long as I have I can keep up with the beginners group in 2023.  Getting dropped sucks.

Hi I am Neha. New to both riding and club riding. I want to get better at cycling. I only rode like 10 to 15 kms every other day. Only done 1 rode of 53 kms which motivated me to join a club so I can meet people and do more cycling. I guess I missed the workshops  hope to join some group rides soon
